Capsule Inn

What happens when you have lots of people and not enough space? They put tourists in a 2x1 meter box.

Located in Osaka, Japan, the Capsule Inn is a hotel with extremely small rooms. Actually, they are not rooms; they are just a fiberglass box with a TV.

Bathrooms are in public area shared with all the other guests, and you're not supposed to eat in your room.

Capsule Inn is the first of its kind. Since opened in 1979, many tried to copy the concept in European countries and the U.S. with little success. I wonder why!

San Alfonso del Mar

San Alfonso del Mar is a resort in the central coast of Chile. It is known for having the world's largest outdoor swimming pool.

The pool is about 1,000 meter long, 19-acre, holding 250,000 cubic meters of water. The water is pumped directly from the Pacific Ocean right next to the resort.

If you're visiting, don't forget to swing by the giant Coca Cola logo.

Basin Park Hotel

Located in Arkansas, the hotel has 7 floors, and every one of them is a "ground" floor.

Built against a hillside, the hotel has openings onto the hill at each level.

At night, there are also ghost tours if you're interested in that kind of stuff.
